Powered by Adam Ciralsky’s access-driven, award-winning journalism, P3 Media produces scripted and unscripted content that immerses audiences in elusive worlds brimming with exceptional characters. With a first look deal at Disney’s ABC Signature television studio, P3 currently has series in the works at FX and Showtime.
The company’s aperture is wide but firmly rooted in reality: our stories run the gamut from con men to diplomatic intrigue and espionage to high finance and courtroom thrillers.
While P3 began as a private equity-backed intellectual property (IP) generator, it has grown to become an artist-friendly IP incubator and accelerator, partnering with other seasoned writers and journalists who want to stay involved with projects based on their work.
As a company founded by a journalist obliged to navigate Hollywood’s byzantine landscape, we believe that content creators make outstanding partners for screenwriters; they have the best access to sources and information and are most incentivized to help move their work from page to screen.

The Team
Adam Ciralsky is an American writer, producer, and director. He is the inspiration for, and executive producer of, Netflix’s blockbuster spy thriller, THE RECRUIT, which in May 2024 wrapped production on its second season.
His access to elusive worlds — from nuclear-armed submarines to secret government units and trillion-dollar programs — and exceptional characters — bitcoin billionaires, fake royals, and mercenaries — is peerless. Beyond Vanity Fair — where he is on the masthead as contributing editor, he has also created groundbreaking work for 60 Minutes, NBC News, ABC News, and Vice (for HBO and Showtime). Through his company, P3 Media, his IP consistently forms the foundation for television and film. Ciralsky has racked up, among other awards, three Emmys (and an additional seven nominations), a Peabody, a Polk, and a DuPont.
He is currently finishing a feature documentary to accompany his June 2024 Vanity Fair tour de force, TAKE NO PRISONERS, which chronicles the secretive and oftentimes unorthodox work of US officials working to free American hostages. Only days after its appearance in print, Lionsgate announced that it had reunited Ciralsky with Alexi Hawley — showrunner and creator of THE RECRUIT and ABC’s THE ROOKIE — for a scripted series based on TAKE NO PRISONERS.
In late-2023 both Peacock and Netflix premiered high-profile series (DR. DEATH and BAD SURGEON, respectively) grounded by Ciralsky’s Vanity Fair bombshell, Man of Her Dreams, which exposed world-renowned surgeon Paolo Macchiarini as a serial, and deadly, fabulist.
As depicted in THE RECRUIT, he began his career as an attorney with the CIA where he provided counsel on a variety of sensitive matters and before that at the Pentagon where he helped combat the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction.
Gene Klein is an accomplished television producer and creative executive with over 25 years of experience. Before joining P3 Media, he spent two decades developing and producing at Hypnotic with director Doug Liman (BOURNE IDENTITY, MR. & MRS. SMITH). Klein currently serves as an Executive Producer on Netflix’s CIA dramedy THE RECRUIT, which stars Noah Centineo and just wrapped production on its second season.
Klein has developed and produced numerous series and pilots, most notably the hit drama SUITS, which ran for nine seasons and recently broke records — with billions of viewing minutes — when it reappeared on Netflix. Klein is currently working on the NBCUniversal reboot.
He’s also behind USA’s Golden Globe nominated spy drama COVERT AFFAIRS, sci-fi drama IMPULSE for YouTube Premium, and irreverent youth comedy I JUST WANT BY PANTS BACK for MTV. Klein has also produced a feature documentary called TREAD and served as an Executive Producer on documentary series for National Geographic and Netflix.
Before joining Hypnotic, Gene worked at HBO for seven years in strategic planning and content acquisitions.
